Rob Ducey
Born in Cambridge, Ontario, Rob graduated from Seminole Community College in Florida and was singed by the Toronto Blue Jays in 1984 as a free agent, He made his major league debut on May 1, 1987 with the Blue Jays. Over his 13 career of playing in the major leagues, Rob had a career batting average of .242 and had 31 home runs over his career. Rob played in the majors for the Toronto Blue Jays (1987-1992), California Angels (1992), Texas Rangers (1993-1994), Seattle Mariners (1997-1998), Philadelphia Phillies (1999-2001), and the Montreal Expos (2001). Rob also played for the Nippan Ham Fighters of the Japanese League from 1995-1996. He played for Team Canada in the 2004 and 2008 Summer Olympics. He was also the first Canadian to play for both of Canada’s (Toronto Blue Jays and the Montreal Expos) major league baseball teams during their career. Following his playing career, Rob has held several minor league coaching positions with the Montreal Expos, New York Yankees and Arizona Diamondbacks organizations. He was inducted into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame in 2013.
